In December 2021, I had the opportunity to travel to Paris, France on business, and while I was there, I participated in a Bridal Editorial photo shoot. It was an amazing experience working in collaboration with some wonderful wedding vendors in that community.
I had been to Paris several times prior to this trip and have always been inspired by the sophistication of French women. They have an understated beauty, and a casual elegance that is admired by the entire world. I wanted this inspiration to come through in the look that I created for our model Anna.
For the makeup look, I really wanted this to be skin-focused. I had done some significant skincare shopping at the Pharmacies in Paris before this shoot, so I used some of my new products such as Nuxe Super Serum and Weleda Skin Food to give her skin a hydrated glow that I could build the rest of the look off of.
For her complexion, I used a combination of Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter in Light, Makeup Atelier Paris Long Wear Fluid Foundation, and MHD Cosmetics Hi-Def Foundation. On the cheek was a combination of RCMA cream blush and NARS Liquid Blush in Orgasm. I lightly set the look with Givenchy Prism Libre loose powder (which I had also purchased on the trip) and Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray.
For the hairstyle, I wanted to do an upstyle to compliment the dress's ethereal, sparkly design. I coiffed a whimsical style that was accented with several pins from our partner Hair Comes the Bride.
I did leave out many face-framing tendrils and some pieces in the bun, but it turned out to be a blustery, cold day which almost immediately straightened out those pieces (as you can see in some of the images). Nevertheless, the movement of the pieces flowing in the wind created some magical moments.
